From small beginnings.....

In 1980, husband and wife team Graham & Sheila Irvine took over a family small holding west of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. Having built up a successful livery yard in Peebles, farming was an opportunity for the couple to use the skills and experience they already had from living and working on farms.
In the early 80’s Graham added agricultural contracting as a way of justifying having his own harvesting machinery, and in the mid 80’s he bought himself an old JCB loading shovel with a broken engine from a local quarry.
He fixed it up with a Perkins’ engine from a combine harvester and Graham Irvine & Partners took its first steps into the construction industry.
